Day 161 February 21st, 2011

The bottom line is that having positive relationships in our lives brings us harmony and balance. With Whoever we need a good one with, many times being your own kids/parents.......

Helping someone steer through a relationship that has conflict to one that is positive is very rewarding. It’s important to let your Live Coaching client know that relationship habits are learned, and they CAN be re-learned.

- Did the relationship always have conflict in it, or has the conflict developed over time?

- If the conflict has developed, was there a circumstance that seems to be the catalyst of the change in the relationship?

- Do you see the conflict arising due to attitude or due to actions?

- How would you feel differently if this relationship were conflict free?

- If you could change this relationship immediately, what would it look like?

- Are you willing to do things differently in this relationship, both in attitude and in actions?

- Do you feel as though the other person is willing to do things differently in the relationship, either in attitude or in actions?

- Do you feel this relationship is important enough in your life to work through the process of exploration and change?

These are all good starting points to get your client thinking of and committing to change in the relationship.
