Just the expectation of a new year can fill pages and pages of wishes and life anew and everything fresh and good and perfect. The cycles in our behavior are like the cycles in nature, perfect and they never fail to come over and over and over and we Jews, have it twice, the more mystical feeling of renewal for Rosh Hashanah and the Universal New Year, well, let’s say western one and the joy of the oncoming changes, promises and fulfillment, Christ’s brit milah, the promise, the pact and the list, the list of does and don’ts and the splendid year ahead.
